Seven oval sapphires from the alluvial beds of the Ruvuma River in southern Tanzania, where anomalously high magnesium content produces the deposit's signature spectral range. Discovered in the 1990s, Songea sapphires remain one of the few sources where vivid greens, teals, and blue-greens occur naturally and without treatment. Each stone in this set is individual in hue, forming a chromatic sequence suited to graduated or asymmetric work.
