QUESTIONS
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
How should I care for my jewelry for daily wear?
Every House of Dante Bianco piece is built to last. Like all things of genuine quality, it rewards careful keeping. To preserve your piece as it was intended:
Put your jewelry on last. Perfume, hairspray, lotion, and sunscreen are the greatest enemies of metal and gemstone surfaces. Let them dry or absorb completely before wearing your piece.
Remove before water. Swimming, showering, exercising, cleaning, and sleeping all expose your jewelry to conditions that accelerate wear. Remove your piece and store it safely beforehand.
Avoid extremes. Prolonged exposure to direct heat including saunas, hot tubs, and open flames can affect both metal and stone. Store away from temperature fluctuations where possible.
Store with intention. Keep each piece in its own pouch or compartment. Necklaces hung or laid flat prevent tangling. Harder stones stored beside softer ones will eventually scratch them. Separate by material.
Your piece was made to be worn. These are not restrictions. They are the habits that allow it to be worn for a lifetime and passed on intact.
How should I clean my jewelry?
For routine cleaning, the simplest method is the most reliable. Use lukewarm water with a small amount of mild liquid dish soap, applied gently with a soft-bristle brush. A baby toothbrush works well. Rinse thoroughly under clean running water and dry immediately with a soft lint-free cloth.
Avoid commercial jewelry cleaning solutions unless you know they are safe for your specific stone. Many over-the-counter products contain harsh chemicals that damage gemstone surfaces and plated finishes. Ultrasonic cleaners can loosen settings. Do not use them on House pieces without consulting us first.
For pieces with softer or porous stones including pearls, opals, and turquoise, use only a dry or barely damp cloth. No soap, no submersion.
If your piece requires more than routine cleaning, contact us. We would rather you ask than risk damage to something irreplaceable.
